Don't fence me in

It was an exciting day for Paige. After 8 long years of being "fenced in" with her braces, she got them off today. It feels so strange to see her without metal in her mouth. She will get upper and lower retainers tomorrow to keep her teeth from moving but at least she can now do a good and thorough job brushing and flossing. It has been a nightmare for her trying to do that through all those braces and brackets.

All the staff and orthodontists sang a clever song, written by Dr. Crise's father, about getting braces off and they cheered and clapped for her. Dr. Crise gave her a big hug afterward. I was very touched. We've developed a nice friendship with Dr. Crise and Dr. Downs since we've been with them for so many years because of Paige's "bite" issues. http://www.smileshollywoodstyle.com/

Paige has been through lots with her mouth since we started all this and she has more ahead of her. She has been such a trouper and rarely complained. We're very proud of her for putting up with it but know she'll enjoy having a beautiful smile the rest of her life.
