Fall is Great!

Not too hot, not too cold.... juuuust right. Paige and I enjoyed the weather today by being outside with the beautiful falling leaves. We borrowed my friend Ann's little kindergartner William and took him to a nature trail. They have life-like dinosaurs there and plenty of room for running, jumping and climbing which William did a lot.

We walked a trail that was especially long and went deep into the woods. William was getting pretty tired and thirsty by then. We were noting how when you got deeper into the woods, it got darker since the trees were blocking the sunlight. When we left and were on the way home:

ME: Remember what happened when we walked deeper into the woods, William?

WILLIAM :: silence ::

ME: (prompting him) You know, the deeper into the forest you go .....

WILLIAM: ... the loster you get!

LOL - Not the answer I was expecting but true nonetheless. We ended our fun day by going to McDonald's for happy meals and more playing in the indoor playground. I bet William sleeps GREAT tonight. I bet I do too.
